COUNTRY CLUB TRASACCO VALLEY
A SACRED NIGHT OF IMPACT AND GLAMOUR
On September 14, 2024, the Trasacco Valley Country Club bore witness to one of the most prestigious and transformative nights in Ghana’s history, the inaugural Euphoria Africa Charity Gala, held in partnership with the Joselyn Dumas Foundation.
This was not merely an event, but a sacred gathering of purpose, where elegance intertwined with advocacy. Ambassadors, celebrities, corporate leaders, and philanthropists came together under one roof with a single mission: to confront domestic violence and empower survivors.
The evening’s proceeds were dedicated to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), funding the construction of a specialized laboratory for rape and abuse investigations, while also expanding shelters to protect and restore dignity to those most vulnerable.
The gala also heralded the launch of Euphoria Africa Magazine, a bold new platform committed to spotlighting social issues alongside African culture, style, and leadership. Ghanaian music icon Efya graced the stage with a performance that transcended entertainment, filling the hall with both soul and gravity—reminding all present of the lives behind the cause.
This historic night drew the presence of global diplomatic and philanthropic leaders, lending unmatched weight to the mission. Among them were Ingrid Mollestad, Norwegian Ambassador to Ghana; High Commissioner Berenice Owen-Jones of the Australian High Commission; and Roberta Annan, renowned philanthropist and UN Environment Programme Goodwill Ambassador. Their combined influence amplified the campaign’s visibility far beyond Ghana’s borders, positioning the movement on the global stage.
Entertainment royalty also stood in solidarity, with award-winning actress Nikoletta Samonas—herself a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, joining hands in advancing the mission.
The Euphoria Africa Charity Gala 2024 was more than glamour, more than music, more than speeches. It was a sacred covenant of change, a reminder that African luxury reaches its highest form not in opulence alone, but in the power to heal, protect, and transform lives.
